Anime Studio ‘Production IMS’ has Gone BankruptMonday June 11th, 2018
Production IMS was grabbing headlines for all the wrong reasons last December when animators claimed the studio wasn’t paying. The reports led to rumors about financial troubles, but there was no official documentation of a bankruptcy – until now.
Production IMS is currently notifying their past animators about their bankruptcy. It’s the final nail in the coffin for the fledgling studio, which was founded in February 2013 by former AIC staff.
The studio didn’t get a chance to leave a mark on the industry, but they were shaping up as an ecchi and comedy specialist. Some of their notable works include The Testament of Sister New Devil, Castle Town Dandelion, Gonna be the Twin-Tail!! (title image of this post), High School Fleet, and Masou Gakuen HxH.
The Testament of Sister New Devil Departures is officially the studio’s last anime. It was also the longest-running series.
